Weekly Summary of Task / Assignment

This is my final week and the last day of my attachment at Kent Ridge Digital Labs. On the whole, I have enjoyed myself here, gaining experiences and learning new knowledge which I will keep for life. Although there were many problems faced, I still managed to find solutions to them.

The task I did this week was to test out my "WebVat" as required from my supervisor. I was to select three websites and run the Web Validator to validate the hyperlinks in them. The results will then be transferred into a subdirectory named "testdata".

I was also told to create another directory "disk" to store all tasks accomplished during my attachment which includes the Web Documentation, all reports I had submitted as well as the Web Validator along with the source code.

In this week, I concentrated on my attachment report the most and it is about 80% completed. As stated in the previous weekly log, I was suppose to finish it up on 16th October 1998. This was due to problems faced to an error occurring in the word document program as well as the process of stating down the information related to the sections for the report. Therefore, I had made a commitment to myself to submit it before 21st October 1998.

To end of this log report, I would like to thank all those who had helped me made this Industrial Attachment a success. I had learnt much from it and I do hope that the next batch having their SIP would have a fruitful one too.
