Mission

KRDL spearheads the research and development of information and networking technology.

Collaborating actively with industry partners in the development and transfer of leading-edge technologies, KRDL builds intellectual assets vital to
keeping the nation, industry and businesses ahead globally.

There are 5 different departments within the organization itself and they are:

Learning Lab

Knowledge Lab

Ubiquity Lab

Bio-Medical Lab

Transportation Lab

The current department that I am attached in is the Knowledge Lab.

Technology to Derive Knowledge is the group's motto.

The knowledge group aims to develop Singapore into a regional information hub and spawn the development of an information industry, primarily in the areas of business intelligence and electronic customer services.

The Knowledge Lab is formed from the merger of the following groups:

	Asian Language Technologies (ISS)
	Information Services (ISS)
	Japan Singapore Artificial Intelligence Centre (ITI)
	Legal & Justice Sector (ITI)
	Publishing Sector (ITI)
