• Update week's 4 weekly summary of task / assignment and make some changes to it.
• Create week's 5 Learning Log webpage and another duplicate for the site with no frames.
• Practise some of the Visual Basic command codes again in preparation for the mini-project.
• Visited and registered a web statistic counter at www.pagecount.com. This counter will reveal statistics such as - 1.How many people viewed your page, 2. A breakdown of page views by date, day, and time, 3. A list of where the requests for your page originated and 4. The hostnames of the visitors! (up to 100 max).
• Update webpages with new and improve webpage counters.
• Check each of the Search Engines to see whether our websites are being indexed.
• Add my webapge URL to search engines e.g Lycos where my website could not be found.
• 3rd meeting with Tralvex Yeap.
• Read the first two pages of "Using the Interent Transfer Control".

    Details of 3rd meeting:

1. Tested out the chosen Internet tool (Crescent Internet Toolpak 4.0) on whether it can last after 30 days as it's a trial version. Result = Failed.
2. Decided to use 2 other tools in replacement of the above tool. They are - "Microsoft Internet Transfer Control 5.0" and "Crescent QuickPak VB/J++ 1.0".
3. Read up "Using the Internet Transfer Control" and find out more about it through the Internet.
4. Read "QuickPak VB/J++ 1.0"
5. Learn how to use both of the tool's function with priority given to the QuickPak VB/J++.

• Read "QuickPak VB/J++ 1.0" and visited the website for more details.
• Add addition links to Research Methods webpage.
• Created the QuickPak VB/J++ 1.0 webpage.
• Emailed Mrs Ho-Tan Liang Gek about the minutes of the 3rd meeting.
• Read "Using the Internet Transfer Control" - next two pages.
• Try searching for Microsoft Internet Transfer Control website but when brought to the link, no information on it can be found.
• Tried the program codes in the notes for "Using the Internet Transfer Control".
• Redo the sample of Web URLs Validator and implement the Internet Control into the VB program but just could not get it to work. Errors occurred but do not know how to solve them.
• Explore Visual Components - Active X and Java components for developers and webmasters website.

• Tried to write the program for the mini project - Web URLs Validator (I called it "WEBVAT").
• Explored the VB Application Wizard and looked at it's program codes.
• Add additional features to week 5's webpage as it's National Day on Sunday.
• Made the Main Form, About Form, Splash Form and Login Form for the mini-project.
• Testing on how the Internet Transfer Control works for FTP and HTTP.
• Had a mini session with Tralvex Yeap and figure out that our problem is not with FTP and HTTP functions but Visual Basic codes itself.
• Went to look at VB Help and the book I bought.

• Read through notes brought from home.
• Analyze problems faced yesterday when working on the Visual Basic program - "WebVat".
• Tried to make the WebVat work again and this time round, it's a success as in writing the URL to a file, displaying it when clicked as well as selecting it to download it's source codes to be displayed.
• Created a temporary file to be saved for the downloaded URL source code.

• Updated on the program by adding more features to enhance it's presentation.
• Add a delete function to remove the list of URL.
• Try to apply the instr$ and mid$ functions to identify the hyperlinks.
