• Install and Explore Visual Basic Source Code & Utilities.
• Maintain uselink webpage and updated more sites to it.
• Create link in Research Methods for Microsoft Access and updated it with books and cd-roms used.

2. Know more about sequential file operations e.g open, close, input and print using Visual Basic 5.0.(By end of Week 3)
3. Evaluate and write comments on the 4 tools control libraries' usage and abilities. 2 of which must be chosen to satisfy conditions such as it is easy to use and must work to the user's preference. 
4. Write a simple program to illustrate what was learned - "WebLinks Validation Program" to validate internet website links within a webpage. (By end of Week 4)
5. To update homepage with more Robocup sites.
6. Add/subscribe our homepage to various Search Engines eg. Alta Vista

• Updated the Research site by adding the appropriate bibliographic citation of the book used.
• Read the book "Discover Visual Basic 5" and created some programs from it.
• Did a prototype of the URL Web Validator, just a simple program that writes to a file and then searches the file and display the data within that file.
• Updated the Project Schedule webpage.
• Added personal homepage and industrial homepage to more search engines - http://www.hotbot.com/addurl.html (to HotBot only) and http://netannounce.com/freestart.html (20 other search engines).

• Search for definition on HTTP (HyperText Transfer Protocol) and FTP (File Transfer Protocol). More sites are placed in the useful links - Others webpage.
• Found an interesting site - FileDog, a fully automated file transfer program that does everything for you.
• Search for Visual Basic newsgroups.
• Subscribe to another mailing list - [email protected] for VISUAL BASIC BEGINNERS.
• Viewed and joined in the Visual Basic Discussion Groups.
• Keep track of the discussion groups. Search for more related sites.
• Wrote email to Liason Officer, Mrs Ho-Tan Liang Gek regarding the details of the meeting held on Tuesday.
• Read Visual Basic book and tried out some programs in Chapter 12 & 14.

• Look at the VB discussion groups.
• Revise some Visual Basic lessons again to recall what was learned. Also tried out the exercises in Chapter 6 & 7 of the Discover Visual Basic 5 book.
